Microsoft Teams integration
Updated:
Use Microsoft Teams to call out to the PSTN (numbers on the public telephone network) with Direct Routing.
Setup:
- Prepare an SBC (Session Border Controller) that is compatible with Microsoft Teams
- Configure a SIP trunk connecting the SBC to the carrier
The carrier rates and call scenarios are then set up. Once this is done, you can call out to the PSTN from Microsoft Teams at the carrier's rates — see current rates on the Pricing page.
With the SBC, your existing CCALL Cloud IP PBX can connect to Microsoft Teams. Once connected, calls with Teams can be configured in one of two scenarios:
- Scenario 1: If Microsoft Teams has the phone system feature in Office 365 E1 or E3 + Microsoft Call System, Microsoft Teams and CCALL Cloud are configured as peers, PBX to PBX → calls between the two are made by dialing from 1xx on Microsoft Teams to 3xx on CCALL Cloud.
- Scenario 2: If Teams has Office Business Essentials + Comment Telephone, configure Microsoft Teams as an extension of the CCALL PBX. From the 3xx extensions of the CCALL PBX, Teams is given a small range, 39xx, so that Microsoft Teams users can call out to the PSTN through the PBX when needed.
